I have been working on a Masters degree from Reformed Theological Seminary for a number of years. I am in the last lap now with two courses left and the thesis. I finally feel like I am going to actually make it because I just passed Greek.
This is the second time I have taken Greek. The first time was back in the 80's. While I learned a lot then, it was a disaster grade-wise because we had a child arrive in the middle of testing. This time I was glad for what I had studied before since it became evident that my short term memory ain't what it used to be.
At one point, I thought this time might be a repeat of last time. We had 17 different people through our home during the first six months of this year. They were all a great blessing but it wasn't the ideal situation for studying Greek. I did fine on the first test, really bombed the second test, and after an agonizing month of study did well enough on the final to pass with a reasonable grade. I still feel traumatized three weeks later.
All griping aside, it has been a wonderful experience to study through RTS. My ministry has been deepened and blessed in innumerable ways.
